LISA LOVES...THE RED CARPET OSCARS 2012
Everybody is talking about Angelina from that night – didn’t she look amazing?! It’s no wonder she has one of the most gorgeous men in Hollywood on her arm... she is just beautiful. Showing off a new caramel colour in lustrous waves in that Versace dress, Ange’s look was to die for. Teamed with ruby red lips this look oozes sexuality – absolutely stunning and didn’t Brad look proud?!
Ever the belle of any red carpet Michelle didn’t disappoint at the Oscars this year. Returning to her signature platinum crop, Michelle wowed the crowds and the industry in an unusual scarlet Marc Jacobs gown. This was an different choice for Michelle, and although I know that it has been controversial, I think she looks fabulous and I’m loving the return of her blonde ambition.
The Bridesmaids girls
Every single one of the girls from comedy of the year Bridesmaids did us proud on the red carpet. Leading lady Kristen Wiig lifted her usual chocolate shade, emerging with beautiful toffee waves. Rose Byrne showed off her brand new lob with a blunt fringe and one of the funniest moments of the ceremony was when she and Melissa McCarthy, who wore her locks in a chignon, brought back the Martin Scorsese drinking game and took a shot live on stage before presenting an award. Maya Rudolph sported cascading curls worn to the side, Ellie Kemper an updo to accentuate her fiery sequinned dress, while Wendy McLendon-Covey stepped out in a half up style which pulled hair away from her face. They just all looked fabulous!
This dress is absolutely amazing.... I just love the cape, for me this really gave it the wow factor! Gwyneth always does simple and elegant so well. Her hair was worn sleek in a very low ponytail which accentuated her beautiful ensemble by Tom Ford. Gwyneth never fails to please and this was definitely no exception.
How amazing did she look? That midnight blue/charcoal gown was just beautiful! Penelope really knows how to make an entrance and that full skirted dress certainly did it. She looked like a real fairytale princess. And that hair with the vintage 1940s wave was just stunning!
She has such a strong, perfectly toned blonde – it’s clean bright and full on! I love how she’s married up this undone, loose textured bob with summery, sparkly skin and her bright eyes really stand out with her nude toned dress. Clean, strong and simple.
One word: STUNNING. Jennifer has such an amazing face, she always pulls off a good old updo. Her sultry brunette hair is smoothed back and eased up into a strong, yet soft bun. This is striking and confident hair that sits perfectly with such an amazing frock.
When it comes to glamour there really is no place like the red carpet to showcase the most beautiful styles. Although the Brits put up a good fight this year, no one quite does the red carpet like the stars of Hollywood. They had everything from the gowns all the way down to absolutely immaculate hair! The Oscars just oozed elegance and grace – two things that are essential to true glamour.
