TEAM SHEPHERD THROUGH TO FINALS!

trophyBirmingham Director, Tim Scott Wright and Artistic Director, Katie Mulcahy are through to the finals at the British Hairdressing Awards 2010.  Tim is battling against hair colourists nationwide in the British Colourist of the Year category - an award that boss Lisa Shepherd has won three times!  Katie will be up against the finest hairdressers in the region for Midlands Hairdresser of the Year.

 

Both of them now have to submit another collection of 4 images that demonstrate their hairdressing skills.  These will be judged by top industry experts, hair and beauty press in October and the winner will be announced at the awards ceremony and dinner held in November at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.

 

Lisa Shepherd Returns For "10 Years Younger": New Series

10-years-younger-2010The UK’s premier hair colourist Lisa Shepherd returning to our screens this August, as she returns to her role as the “Colour Doctor” on the mother of all makeover shows Channel 4’s 10 Years Younger.

 

From 2nd August we will be able to get a two week blast of amazing transformations at 5pm every evening as series 6 continues its quest to discover whether you need surgery to take off the years!

 

In each programme 1 volunteer will go under the knife, sampling every cosmetic enhancement trick known to man; while the other will opt for the surgery free route – which means no knifes, needles or surgical procedures of any kind – relying instead on the fundamental’s of good grooming: fabulous hair and make-up combined with fashion tips and styling tricks from some of the fashion elites most revered stylists.

 

As with season’s past Lisa is heading up the hair colour side of the glam squad; as part of her role as resident Colour Expert she is reviving participants tired locks with vibrant yet natural colour choices that will flatter their skin-tone and of course leave them looking 10 Years Younger.

 

Of her position in the show Lisa says: “The wrong hair colour can literally add years onto your age and often people have the wrong hair colour for years because they are just used to what they see in the mirror and don’t know how to change it or what to change it to. I hope through this new series of 10 Years Younger I will show that you don’t need to be afraid of colour and that you can adapt trends to suit you – but keep your hair looking modern, fresh and beautiful!’
